I"m posting for friend who runs a rescue. She's in a limbo about her dog Quinn. She would like to know what she can do to help her dog with these issues...holistically. She is a believer in integrative healthcare for her dogs but still resistant to homeopathy.
  1. Your pet's name - Quinn
  2. Approximate age - 13 1/2 years old
  3. Sex - Female
  4. Neutering status - spayed
  5. Breed: Japanese Chin
  6. Approximate weight: 12 lbs
  7. What's their BEAM (behavior, energy, appetite, mood) -
    1. Behavior no issues
    2. Energy average
    3. Appetite low, but eating some
    4. Mood
  8. Diet: Dr. Morgani's pancreas diet no 1
  9. Vaccination history / exposure to toxins, other medication - no vaccinations in over 10 years. No toxins in environment. Pimobendin and lasix (lasix stopped for now)
  10. Primary problem, when it began and if there was anything else happening around that time:
    1. Heart failure: stable
    2. Kidney failure - in hospital on meds and fluid for four days. Fluids were given slowly through a tube in her nose. Bun and Creatin were slightly elevated yesterday.
    3. Pancreatic Issues
  11. Is the condition better or worse from exercise, heat, cold, time of day, certain foods, emotional upset, being touched, excitement, etc? same throughout the day
  12. Has any diagnostic work been done? Diagnosis if available (you can attach your diagnostic tests to the post if you have them) a lot of testing.
  13. Current and previous treatment - She is on Ancestral Kidney, Heart, and Pancreas. Also on Pancreas Booster and Super Enyzmes (with pancreas support)
  14. Other health concerns - none

Thank you,
Christine

Ah, she is still so young. You are doing a lot of wonderful things for her, Christine.

Be sure to do some searches here for heart & kidney problems - there is a lot of information, even how to do a home heart exam!

At this point I would strongly suggest working with a veterinary homeopath or one well trained in TCVM (chinese medicine).

Hey Christine-

How is Quinn's day to day quality of life?

Is there anything she loves to do ("Happy Meals" sniff walks, being massaged, or...)?

Perhaps also suggest using structured/gel water to help her kidneys work better.
