This is one of those nameless files which is on my hard drive and which is worthwhile sharing. I am not the author of this diet and take no credit (or blame) for any effects from using it:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

1 bag Goya dried chick peas soaked overnight, then rinsed.
1 head of garlic
1 cup olive oil
2 lbs either fresh or frozen broccoli or green beans
3 cans “Jack” mackerel (Jack is a brand name, the price is good)

~~Boil chick peas for a minimum of 20 mins
**While this is going on you can peel and chop garlic as well as start microwaving veggies.
~~Once chick peas are boiled, drain and smash.
**If you have a Braun Hand Mixer you may use this for smashing and can add whole garlic cloves and olive oil at same time.
~~When chick peas, garlic and oil are all smashed together cook on med heat, stirring constantly for about 5 mins.
~~Add cooked veggies and stir thoroughly.
~~Add canned fish, bones and all, just pour it in (yes it’s gross looking but they really like it!!) and stir thoroughly.

That’s it…all done, you can bag into individual meals and freeze or use qt containers. Makes about 3.5 qts. I add freshly ground flax seed each meal.

Remember that there is no one recipe for health or for any illness. This could certainly be used occasionally. I would love to see the rationale for each of the ingredients for cancer.

the best diet for cancer is whatever you have discovered over the years of feeding that is the best for each individual dog or cat.

Especially important in cancer diets is to avoid any chemicals, GMO, glyphosate - means buy organic or know your farmer (local of via internet) and what they feed.

I agree (no one diet) but would add one thing.

That is to avoid the nutrients that "feed" cancer cells. Minimize sugars and carbohydrates no mater how you feed.

Focus on good protein and fats such as in a raw meat-based diet.

Could you please comment on the following re: diet

1) your thoughts on a ketogenic diet for cancer?
2) I have read that fish can trigger a histamine reaction with MCT.....true?
3) do you recommend raw goat milk?

Thank you!

Great to see you here Debbie! Thanks for being the first (other than Dr. Christina and I) to post on this new forum.

1. There is some evidence that it can be helpful. But the jury is still out. See a much more by <a href="https://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2017/09/03/targeted-nutritional-therapy.aspx" rel="noopener" target="_blank">clicking here.</a>

Personally, I've not been a big fan. But some pets (and people) do well with it. Ask Jen Bridwell. I also respect Dr. Billinghurst and the work that he and others (like the KetoPet sanctuary) have done.

2. Yes! <a href="http://www.aaaai.org/conditions-and-treatments/related-conditions/histamine-toxicity" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Click here</a> for an article that discusses this. We talked about this a few years ago pertaining to Kedron's MCT and episodic eye redness ("flushing").

3. Yes again! Especially if you have a local and/or organic source.

Dr. Jeff (now onto your other post - before bed)

Hi everybody-

My husband and I have been on a ketogenic diet for a little over a year. We started it to get his Type 2 diabetes under control (which it did quickly and spectacularly), but I had an unexpected and greatly appreciated significant reduction in my chronic pain and inflammation. There is a wealth of info on ketogenic diets and cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, MS, and on, and on, available from Dr Google, but as with everything, its not a "one diet cures all" magic bullet. There are a few versions of ketogenic diets for people, and I'm happy to help if anyone has any questions about that. Medical keto is considered to be less than 5% of total calories from carbs 20-30% from protein, and the balance from fat.

Hope this helps.
