My heart sinks everytime I see an animal slipping across a floor on a show as if it's perfectly natural, normal and fun for them.
We put runners, yoga mats and cut outs where the runners didn't cover the floors so Fibi did not hurt her back or legs slipping and sliding everywhere.
Am I the...
Thank you both so very much for your insights.
I've been listening to animal communicators on You Tube and have heard that our animal companions are here to help us. I know I've missed some Monday night calls so this was probably talked about in some way/s. One in particular said that the...
Hi All,
I will be leaving this beautiful, supportive and amazingly informative community for a while due to Fibi's passing.
Before I leave, I'd like some clarity on how in the world these two dogs lived to the ripe ages they did?
We are accustomed to saying 17 or 18 is a ripe old age.
Thanks...
Many thanks for your compassionate and soothing words Jean. It means a lot to me.
I have an animal communicator friend. I can ask her but thanks for the suggestion.
If you know of any interesting videos on this topic I'd be interested 💗 🙏
Hi Ginny & group,
I beleive I did release her. However, I miss her physical presence like nothing else. I hope that is not preventing soul departure..?
I read in the Brighthaven Guide to Animal Hospice this morning that there is a Tibetan three day ritual. I realize now that I did not Have to...
@ dr. Jeff, @ dr. Christina
We sent Fibi over the rainbow bridge Friday at 2:30pm. I wanted to keep her body cold for a couple of days but David did not. We partially buried her in a hand made box at around 4:30 pm. I am conflicted. I'm now feeling like her soul is stuck bc of some of the things...
She doesn't look like she's having much fun 99% of the time... The remedies have not helped with her food anxiety.
We work with an intuitive (she does the Reiki). She offers suggestions everytime she's here. More along the lines of what Fibi is thinking. I pretty much already know what Fibi is...
I have a follow up question- When your dog can't see, hear or walk without pain what can we do to offer them the best quality of life? How will I manage her on a daily basis if her legs continue in the direction of weakness? We are geting her out for small walks now that the weather is warmer...
Hi Dr. Chrisitina,
Fibi has been at this stage for quite some time and though she knows her home very well, she can not understand where things are anyore, esp when it gets later in the day or she's anxiuos about food which is almost always. I only saw an ad for the Halo bumper that got me...
Without a doubt she is!
So you don't know of any products that prevent dogs or even cats from bumping into things? I thought this would be a go-to tool...there are a lot of brands but it's overwhelming.
Oh sorry. It's a brand actually that prevents the dogs from bumping into furniture, etc bc they are blind or close to it. Fibi is bumping into everything now. I thought you might know of a brand recommendation.
Thank you Dr. Christina. She is as holistic as they come around here. It is her policy not to let pet guardians in. I was just venting yesterday, but begrudgingly accept the situation.
Here's the recap--
low grade fever
elevated platelet count
possible internal bleeding
possible Anaplazma...
Hi All,
Fibi's breathing is 39 breaths per minute when resting. She seems "off" today and somewhat disoriented. Also, she's not wanting to get up for her usual rounds, checking to see when there will be banana treats, or other such snacks. She also pooped in he diaper which hasn't happened. I...
