Thank you so much for your post, @Dr. Jean Hofve (and welcome back!) ♥️
I can't wait to read the update on your kitty litter article.
For the time being, we're switching to the grass seed litter. It appears that my kitty does not like the (organic) wheat pellets anymore!
@Dr. Jean Hofve and @Dr. Jeff - I received a response from Cranky Frank, re their hemp litter:
"Thank you for your interest in our hemp kitty litter! While it isn't certified organic, we're proud to share that it's spray-free, we don't use any pesticides or herbicides. We do use natural...
What did Amy say?! ;) I actually reached out to the client and was informed that they use Guar Gum as clumping agent. What are your thoughts on that? @Dr. Jean Hofve and @Dr. Christina
I found the following re their source:
We are a family owned company!
Located in Cedarburg, WI, we get our grasses from local midwest farmers. We care about our planet, our pets and you! We are so excited to have you try our litter!
Hi @Dr. Jean Hofve, @Dr. Christina and @Dr. Jeff,
I have been using organic hemp and wheat pellet litter for my cat, but am considering switching to a litter that may be softer on her paws. I came across this brand World’s Best Catalyst Cat Pet Litter in USA and am interested in the unscented...
Thank you, @GinnyW and @Dr. Jeff,
I understand that topical treatments should not be my first go-to, but I'm concerned that further irritation on the wound site may make the lesion worse. I was hoping for a temporary relief for her.
Apis sounds like a great idea! Would you recommend Apis 30c...
@Dr. Jean Hofve, @Dr. Christina and @Dr. Jeff,
My kitty got bitten by ants (I think) when she was in the yard, and she has a huge bump (the area has no hair also) in her hind leg, by her knee. What would you suggest that I use to help her heal topically? Thank you.
Thank you, Dr. Christina and Ginny!
Thank you, Dr. Jeff,
Yes, I recall us discussing this practice before my move. Now that I am more familiar with this area and after further searching for a holistic/integrative vet practioner in the area, this practice is one that's closest to where I live...
Hi @Dr. Christina and @Dr. Jeff,
In searching for a wholistic/holistic veterinarian in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I found a clinic that offers homotoxicology - a patented combination of homeopathy and herbs? Just curious, what are your thoughts on this modality...
Hi @Dr. Christina, @Dr. Jean Hofve and @Dr. Jeff,
Firs time cat guardians here! My husband and I read over the weekend that it's best not to place the water fountain close to the cat's food. My cat is on raw food, so we don't leave her food out 24/7, but she does get fed next to her fountain...
I would try giving coconut water, structured water and feed her watermelon as treats, if she likes it.
