Pumpkin for constipation?

C

Christie

Hello!

My vet recommended baby food or canned pumpkin to relieve constipation. Is this true?

Thank you!

Baby food works by being highly absorbed so producing less stool.

Pumpkin is usually better for constipation.

Also always try to have a doc determine why your pet is constipated. Diet issues? Early kidney issues? Then consider homeopathy or Chinese Herbals to treat root cause. Pumpkin with probiotics is a good start but if you find you have to do this often, there is a cause that needs to be addressed.
