Organon Aphorism 32

Hi everyone-

Here's what Dr. Hahnemann says about the dose of every "real" medicine:

But it is quite otherwise with the artificial morbific agents which we term medicines. Every real medicine, namely, acts at all times, under all circumstances, on every living human being, and produces in him its peculiar symptoms (distinctly perceptible, if the dose be large enough), so that evidently every living human organism is liable to be affected, and, as it were, inoculated with the medicinal disease at all times, and absolutely (unconditionally), which, as before said, is by no means the case with the natural diseases.

In this paragraph, Hahnemann talks about the relationship between dose and dis-ease (imbalance).

The higher the dose of any "morbific agent", or stressor, the greater the number of animals and people affected.

One current application of this strategy isle is with infective viral particles of the novel corona virus, the higher the viral exposure, the greater the chance of symptoms of covid.

Staying at home, washing our hands thoroughly, not touching our faces, etc. have allowed us to avoid the virus.

This aphorism is a continuation of the deeper dive description of homeopathy and its' elegantly simple stress and strain model of healing.

Just prior to discussing dose, aphorism 31 introduced the other factor that determines whether a dis-ease results from exposure to a stressor like kennel cough.

That is susceptibility or sensitivity to any morbific agent.

@jenbridwell gives an exceptional example of her own sensitivity to the homeopathic medicine Bryonia here:

Dose and susceptibility are the only two factors that you need to know to determine if our pets, or us, get sick from a germ, toxin, injury, etc.
