Another ACO (friend of mine) in CT took in an owner surrender because of unexplained aggression towards family (initially towards the children and then the husband-no bites but lots of warnings). The family purchased the puppy at 8 weeks of age-very chaotic household with young children. She is a 14 month old yellow Lab just spayed this past week. Her bloodwork shows Hyperthyroid (yes) and Lyme positive. They repeated the bloodwork twice to make sure that was correct. She is fear aggressive but gives lots of warnings. I saw a video of her in the home where she would grab her toy and run to the safety of her crate. The current Vet put her on Phenobarbital and Doxi for two weeks. The ACO is reaching out for ideas and direction to help this dog and Lab rescue is helping to pay to resolve this.

Hi Judy-

As you know, optimal treatment will be to use homeopathy.

Homeopathically chosen medicines will help correct the internal imbalance that is manifesting as anxiety-aggression.

Also as you know, any symptom (physical, mental or emotional) is a clue to the imbalance.

However, that may not be practical until the fear aggressive Lab is in her forever home.

For now, your friend can have Julie (who makes these flower essences and is a dog trainer) formulate one of her flower essences.

It will be supportive and work with the pup's body.

In contrast to the pheno. (anti-convulsant) and doxycycline (anti-biotic).

If she calls Julie, please let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

The problem is the dog can’t get in a home until the aggression is handled.
