    Dead tick stuff on top of neck/hard and not easy to remove

    We found a dead tick just at top of our dogs skin. It seems hard and dead but is latched on to the top of his neck. Not easy to get out as trying to do so, turns the area red. Any suggestions on how to get it out with tweezers or any other suggestions? See pix below
